CJ Commerford & The Supertones deliver horn-driven soul and blues steeped in the warmth and grit of the 1970s golden era.

Rooted in analogue textures and deeply human storytelling, CJ channels his love of vintage music into a sound that feels nostalgic yet unmistakably alive.

Backed by a dynamic five-piece lineup, The Supertones bring groove, richness and musical depth to every stage they step onto. Their live shows are immersive and heartfelt, blending sepia-toned soul with tight musicianship that continues to resonate with audiences across Victoria’s festival circuit.

The band have supported some of Australia’s most iconic artists, including Daryl Braithwaite, Ross Wilson and Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows, further cementing their reputation as a compelling live force in the Australian soul and blues scene.

With two albums, Sugar and Naturally You, available on all streaming platforms (or buy directly here), and a third studio record currently in production, CJ Commerford & The Supertones continue to build momentum, carving out a space where vintage soul meets honest storytelling and deeply human connection.
